1. About Us

Hot Seat ("Hot Seat", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Thruvi LLC, the seller of the service. By accessing or using Hot Seat, you ("user", "you") enter into a binding agreement with Thruvi LLC.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account, joining a room, or otherwise using Hot Seat, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction (or have a parent/guardian agree on your behalf) and, if using on behalf of an organization, have authority to bind it.

3. The Service

Hot Seat is a social trivia party game. We provide game-hosting tools, a curated question catalog, and related features. Free and Premium tiers are described on our Pricing page.

4. Account & Conduct

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and be responsible for activity on your account. You must not:

  • Use the service unlawfully or to harass, defame, or harm others.
  • Commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate any person.
  • Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights.
  • Interfere with security — including probing, scraping, reverse-engineering, distributing malware, or circumventing rate limits or technical controls.
  • Resell or redistribute the service or its content without written permission.

5. Intellectual Property

Hot Seat, including its software, question catalog, branding, and design, is owned by Thruvi LLC and protected by applicable IP laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. User Content

Display names, feedback, and other content you submit ("User Content") remain yours. You grant Thruvi LLC a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and process User Content solely to operate and improve the service. You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it.

7. Payments, Billing & Subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Premium is a monthly subscription that auto-renews until canceled. Payment, billing frequency, taxes, currency conversion, invoicing, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account or via paddle.net. Our Refund Policy describes our money-back guarantee.

8. Service Availability

We work hard to keep Hot Seat running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we may delete associated data after a reasonable period.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thruvi LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is prohibited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Thruvi LLC harmless from claims arising out of your User Content, your unlawful or unauthorized use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State in which Thruvi LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that State, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
